About

A Senior Vitreoretinal Surgeon practicing for almost three decades, Dr. Guha has made pioneering contributions to the system of vitreoretinal care delivery in urban and semi-urban communities in North India.

Contributions to Vitreoretinal Care

Setting Up Vitreo-retina Surgery Centres

In collaboration with anterior segment colleagues, Dr. Guha has established functioning eye centres across the northern belt of India, including places like Srinagar, Amritsar, Pathankot, Ambala, Bareilly, Gurugram, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Chandausi, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. These centres maintain self-sustainable systems in vitreo-retina care.

International Contributions

Dr. Guha has been invited to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Dushanbe (Tajikistan) for specialised vitreo-retina surgeries.

Dr. Guha’s main and only area of interest is vitreo-retinal surgery, with a special emphasis on tackling complicated situations and macular and submacular surgeries. He is proficient in advanced VR surgeries, such as:
